In this Copy.ai review, I’ll cover what I like about the software, where it can improve, and if it’s worth it.

Copy.ai allows you to generate human-like text within seconds. I’ve been using it for a while alongside Jarvis, and it helped me create better headlines, email subject lines, meta descriptions, and blog intros.

But my favorite part of Copy.ai, is that it’s compatible with multiple languages like Chinese, Spanish, French, Japanese, and Portuguese. So regardless of what region you live in and the language you speak, you’ll be able to generate AI content.

When signing up for Copy.ai, you’ll get access to three pricing plans. These include:

2. Pro plan that costs $35 per month or $420 per year
3. Custom team plans

The free plan is perfect for new users who just want to test this software. Unlike other tools, you don’t have to enter your credit card details. You’ll access:

• Over 90 copywriting tools
• 10 credits per month
• 25+ languages
• 100 bonus credits for your first month

This way, there’s no risk on you, but you won’t be able to create an unlimited amount of copy.

With the Pro version, you can create unlimited blog titles, outlines, ads, topic ideas, and other forms of writing. Copy.ai is also constantly releasing new features, and with this plan, you’ll be the first to use the latest tools.

If you’re a business owner or team leader, consider signing up for the custom plan. Copy.ai doesn’t give a set price for this option, but they’ll send over a personalized quote based on your team size and needs.

Who Is Copy.ai For?

After using and testing Copy.ai, I’ve noticed it can empower the lives of:

Email Marketers

Email marketing is profitable but challenging. You must collect email addresses, catch the attention of subscribers, and offer value. During this process, you’ll need to create a lot of high-quality writing. This is where Copy.ai can help.

You’ll find different tools that’ll hook subscribers. Some include:

• Welcome emails
• Thank you notes
• Confirmation emails
• Follow-up emails

This way, you don’t have to develop several different types of emails and battle with writer’s block when launching your campaign. Simply enter your company name and a product description, and you’re good to go.

Here, all you have to do is type in your brand name and describe your product. After clicking “Create Copy,” you’ll find 10 options below. These might not all be relevant, so you’ll just need to alter them a little.

Freelance Content Writers

Copy.ai is the perfect tool for freelance content writers because it produces:

• Blog ideas
• Headlines
• Blog outlines
• Conclusions
• Listicles

The blog title generator is valuable for anyone going through a creative rut because you’ll save time. Most of the headlines produced are basic, but sometimes you’ll find the perfect one. For example, after struggling to write a suitable title for this article, I used Copy.ai and it produced these headers.

I used the third suggestion, but the other options could also work, if given a few changes.

How Does Copy.ai Work?

Copy.ai is easy to use. Head over to Copy.ai and sign up for an account. You can sign up via email, Google, or Facebook. Once you’ve signed up, Copy.ai will send you a confirmation email.

From here, you get access to 100 credits. Each check costs one credit, and Copy.ai generates 10 suggestions per check. This is more than enough for you to get a feel for the platform and its accuracy.

You’ll find all the types of writing that Copy.ai generates on your left. Simply click on the one most relevant to you, type in your brand name and product description, click “Create Copy,” and you’re good to go.

After you’ve used your 100 credits, you’ll need to upgrade to the paid plan. This only takes a few minutes, and you’ll be able to generate unlimited writing.

Now, let’s review Copy.ai using set criteria.

Quality Of Work Produced

The first criteria I considered when testing Copy.ai, is the quality of work produced.

After using Copy.ai, I can safely say that most of its suggestions are catchy and engaging. However, some are inaccurate and irrelevant, so I would discard them.

When I was stuck trying to find a headline idea for an article covering international SEO, I pasted it into Copy.ai, and it produced these heading ideas.

These headers might seem a bit basic, but it’s a helpful starting point if you’re struggling to come up with some yourself. I like combining these suggestions. For example, “5 Steps To Running An International SEO Campaign For Just $100.”

Ease Of Use

Ease of use is another critical factor when shopping for a copy generator tool.

Fortunately, when logging into Copy.ai, you’ll notice that the dashboard is simple and easy to use. Everything is laid out neatly. You’ll find all text generation options on the left, and it’s organized in sections relevant to your industry.

If you want to change languages, simply go to the top right-hand corner, and select your preferred language.

Or, if you want to see your previous projects, you’ll find them in the top-left corner. This makes managing your content creation super convenient.

Additional Features

When using Copy.ai, I noticed a few helpful features that I couldn’t find when using other content creation tools. These features are:

• A Google Chrome extension
• Plagiarism checker

Google Chrome Extension

Switching between multiple tabs is annoying. So to streamline your work processes, Copy.ai created an extension that allows you to work simultaneously with Google Docs and Gmail tools.

The add-on also contains all the features you’ll find on the Copy.ai website, so you won’t need to revisit the website every time. When generating sales copy, the extension keeps your formatting so you can paste it directly into your tool of choice.

Plagiarism Checks

Usually, only software like Grammarly and other writing tools offer plagiarism checkers. Fortunately, Copy.ai has an accurate plagiarism feature. When you’re finished writing or tweaking marketing copy, simply paste it into Copy.ai, and it’ll give you a score within seconds.

This way, you don’t have to sign up for a separate tool because Copy.ai takes care of your basic plagiarism checking needs.

Areas For Improvement

Although Copy.ai offers some powerful benefits for copywriters, marketers, business owners, and content creators, I’ve noticed a few areas where they can improve. 

Long-form content like blog posts, emails, and website copy is the backbone behind every business. Regardless of your industry, your brand will need these forms of copy. Unfortunately, Copy.ai doesn’t produce long-form blog posts.

Copy.ai Requires Precise Input Description

Before Copy.ai can generate writing, you’ll need to enter your product name and a detailed description of what you do. If your description is too short, the tool will suggest many irrelevant ideas.

Your description needs to be around 800 to 1,000 characters for optimal results. I’d like to see Copy.ai upgrade their software, so you don’t have to write long walls of text just to get a few heading ideas. Fortunately, Copy.ai is a fast-growing company, and I’m sure they’ll introduce this update shortly.

When reviewing and testing this AI writer to see if it’s a valuable option, I looked at the following criteria:

• Quality of text generated
• Ease of use
• Affordability
• Flexibility
• Compatibility

After using Copy.ai to produce hundreds of pieces of text, I found it meets all these criteria.

The text it generates is catchy, and although not all suggestions sound good, the ideas it gives you are invaluable. I use it to defeat writer’s block and get my creative juices flowing. After generating a gripping blog intro, I’ll edit it a little, and since I don’t have to face a blank screen anymore, writing becomes much easier.

It’s also quite affordable. The professional plan costs $35 per month. This is great value given that you can create unlimited text and projects. The content generator is flexible because it offers additional features like the Chrome extension that streamlines your work process.
