Journal Prompts

Draw a reflective prompt to write about today, from 9 authored journal prompts. Copy the one you want, or star it to save it to your toolkit. The filter starts on journal prompts, but every other genre and format is one tap away.

Pick a genre or format, then draw a writing prompt from the 9 prompts on hand. Copy it or save it to your toolkit.

Everything runs in your browser. Prompts you save are stored only on this device, in your writer's toolkit.

Journaling with a prompt

A journal prompt gives the reflective habit a door to walk through. Rather than facing a blank page and the vague instruction to "write about your day", you get a specific, honest question to answer. Draw one, write for ten minutes without editing, and let the prompt take you somewhere you were not planning to go.

There is no right length and no audience. These prompts lean toward the questions people tend to avoid, because those are usually the ones worth writing. If a prompt does not land, draw another; if one does, star it and keep it in your toolkit to return to on a day you have more to say.
